Admin commands and RCON

enablecheats, the useful admin commands, and running commands from the panel console without being in the game.

In the game

Open the console (Tab on PC, or Enable Console in options), then enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword>. Now cheats work, e.g.:

  • cheat god, cheat fly, cheat walk, cheat ghost
  • cheat giveitemnum 1 1 0 0 / cheat gfi <name> <qty> <quality> <bp> (items)
  • cheat summon Rex_Character_BP_C, cheat spawndino <blueprint> 1 1 1 <level>
  • cheat forcetame, cheat dotame
  • cheat destroywilddinos: respawns all wild dinos (after rate changes or if levels look wrong)
  • cheat saveworld: saves now
  • cheat broadcast Server restart in 5 minutes
  • cheat kickplayer <SteamID>, cheat banplayer <SteamID>
  • cheat setplayerpos 0 0 0 / cheat tpcoords

From the panel console (RCON)

The panel's console is connected to the server's RCON, so you can type admin commands there without playing: saveworld, broadcast ..., listplayers, doexit (saves and shuts down cleanly). No cheat prefix needed over RCON, and no enablecheats.

RCON is enabled by default on our eggs (RCON_PORT in Startup). External tools (ARKon, RCON clients) can connect to node1.penguhost.com:<RCON port> with the admin password.
