Satisfactory's dedicated server is managed from inside the game, not from config files.
- Order and start the server. The first install downloads about 8 GB; the console ends with
Server is ready(or similar). - In Satisfactory: Server Manager → Add Server → address
node1.penguhost.com, port from the Network tab (the game port, default range 7777-style but yours is in the 4000s). The game connects to the server's API port, which our egg exposes on the same allocation. - Claim the server: give it a name and an admin password. Whoever claims it first owns it, so do this right after the first start.
- Create a session (new game) or upload a save (see Saves).
- Set a join password under Server Settings if you want privacy, and choose whether the game auto-loads the session on server start (Auto-load session name).
Players then add the server the same way and join; you can hand them the client password instead of the admin one.
RAM
8 GB for a starting factory; 12-16 GB once you are in the late game with big belts and trains. Satisfactory grows with your factory, not your player count.
