Custom start commands and Java flags

What you can change in the start command, what needs us, and why memory flags are fixed.

The start command itself is set by the server type and is not editable in the panel. This keeps memory settings consistent with what you bought and stops a wrong flag from taking the server down.

What you can change yourself

  • Every variable the command uses (jar file name, version, extra arguments where the egg offers an ARGS/ADDITIONAL_ARGS variable).
  • The Docker image (Java/Node/Python version).
  • For Minecraft: swap the jar file (upload purpur.jar, set SERVER_JARFILE=purpur.jar).

What needs a ticket

  • A different program entirely (Java bot on a Node server, a custom launcher, BepInEx for Valheim, a Fabric server with a custom launcher).
  • JVM flags such as Aikar's on Paper: open a ticket with the server name; we set them within the memory of your plan.

Tell us what the command would look like on your PC. That is all we need.
