Pull a single world or save out of a backup

You only want yesterday's world, not yesterday's plugins. Here is how, without touching the rest.

A full restore rolls back everything. If you only need one folder back (the Minecraft world, an ARK Saved folder, a Rust save), do it by hand:

  1. Download the backup (Backups → Download).
  2. Extract it on your computer and locate the folder you need, e.g. world/ (plus world_nether/ and world_the_end/ on Paper).
  3. Zip that folder on its own.
  4. Stop the server. In the Files tab, rename the current folder (world → world-broken) so you can go back.
  5. Upload the zip to the server root and Unarchive it. Check that the result is world/level.dat, not world/world/level.dat.
  6. Start the server. Delete world-broken once you are happy.

Without downloading

Kowalski can do steps 1-5 on the server for you if the backup is still in a slot: "restore only the world folder from the backup named X". It restores the backup into a temporary folder, copies the world over and cleans up. Say which backup and which folder.
