Location, hardware and latency

Where your server physically runs, how the traffic gets there and what pings to expect from where.

Where

Your traffic enters at our network point in Frankfurt am Main, one of Europe's biggest internet exchanges, and is tunnelled from there to our hardware. The game servers run on machines we own: solar-powered, refurbished AMD Ryzen systems with new NVMe storage.

Expected pings

Players inTypical ping
Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux10-30 ms
France, Poland, Czechia, Denmark20-40 ms
UK, Italy, Spain, Sweden30-50 ms
Turkey, Finland, Portugal50-70 ms
US East Coast90-120 ms
US West Coast, Brazil150-200 ms
Asia, Australia200 ms and up

Below 60 ms nobody notices. Around 100 ms is playable for survival, annoying for PvP. If most of your players are outside Europe, another host with a location near them serves them better. We say so on our comparison page too.

Hardware per server

You choose RAM, disk and CPU share when ordering. Storage is always NVMe; there is no HDD tier. Memory is dedicated: your 4 GB are yours, not "up to 4 GB".
