Every server is configured with sliders: RAM in 0.5 GB steps, disk in 1 GB steps, CPU share, extra ports, backup slots. The three plans on each game page are presets of those sliders, nothing more. You can start with a preset and change any slider before you pay.

How many players
Minecraft (Paper, few plugins): about 5 per GB of RAM (Starter for 8-10 friends, Performance for a 20-player SMP, Premium for 40+). Modpacks: count mods, not players. See How much RAM do you really need. Rust needs at least 8 GB regardless of player count; ARK, Palworld and Satisfactory 8-16 GB.
Longer periods are cheaper
90 days cost 5 % less than three times 30, 365 days 10 % less than twelve times 30. You can extend any time.
